First a note:  After almost two months it should be pretty obvious that most of the songs chosen for the MMMI are going to songs *I* like.  So if you think there could be a better song (or more songs) that fit a theme feel free to share!

With that out of the way...

I know many people think Valentine's Day is just another excuse to guilt us into buying stuff for people whether it be a simple card or something much larger. To that end there have been plenty of songs over the years about love and breakups and, well, not being in love anymore.

Here are some of my favorites!

Released in 1995, and with musical backing from Flea and Dave Navarro, and sung by god herself:

A top ten hit in the US (#1 on the Modern Rock chart) reaching #6 in July of 1996 it was Alanis Morisette's second and last top 10 hit.
