This week, the week of April 11-15, 2016, we will be talking about that dreaded day in April...!

We call it:  "Tax Day"

April 15, 2016

We all know what Friday, April 15th means in America.  No sense dwelling on it so let's have some fun with it!

Everyone probably expected this one some time this week...and who am I to disappoint?

The first track on the Revolver album in 1966, and written by George Harrison, it was a non-charter in the US for the Beatles but a song that Harrison continued playing on solo tours and one that gets a lot of airplay this time of year in particular.

Thanks for reading and listening this week!  Next week a new theme!

I guess it's a goal a lot of people share...even if the government is out to take as much of it as they can!

Going all the way to #2 for Calloway in May of 1990 it was their only top 10 hit.  In fact it was their last Hot 100 hit also, their only other coming three months later with "All the Way" reaching #63.

We all know that feeling of having too much month at the end of the money....even mega-selling, world wide music stars I guess!

Abba's follow up single to "Dancing Queen" was a top five hit all over the world....except America where it only got to #56 on the Hot 100 in November of 1977.

Today, one of the happier sounding songs about the taxman and all he takes!

From their 1966 "Face to Face" album the song was a top twenty hit (#14) in America in 1966 while going to #1 in other countries around the world.

We'll kick this week's theme off with a genuine Hall of Fame band!

"Taxman/Mr. Thief" was a non-charting song off Cheap Trick's 1977 debut album.
