This week, the week of February 15-19, 2016, we will be looking at Grammy Losers!

We call it:  "Who needs your stinking trophy anyway?!?!"

February 17, 2016

It is Grammy week and over the years there have been notable snubs from year to year and winners who probably didn't deserve to win or who went on to do nothing more in their careers.  this week we'll glance at a few that the Grammys never thought were quite good enough to win at all.

After joining the sister act The Primes in 1960 today's artist saw nothing success:

  • 10 number one hits from 1964-1967
  • A solo career that spanned four decades and another five number one singles.
  • She won a Golden Globe in 1973, a special Tony in 1977, and Kennedy Center Honors in 2007

But despite a dozen nominations since 1964 she never won a Grammy until given a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012

In September of 1980 she had her last number one single and the song that stayed on the charts the longest in her esteemed career:

Ross's last top ten hit came in 1985.

Tomorrow:  The British invade...as lose.
