As we march toward April 1st let's take a look at some silly songs this week.

Anyone who knows me knows I have a slightly twisted sense of humor and novelty songs have always been attractive to my ear.  I spent many a Sunday night listening (and recording) the Dr. Demento show and devouring whatever "fun" songs I could.

Picking just FIVE songs that amuse me would be impossible, but I'll try my best and probably end up revisiting this theme a few times!

Heading into 1980's and my teenage / formative years I found my attraction to humorous songs only intensifying.

The story of hearing "Another One Rides The Bus" will told at a later date, but it was the catalyst for shaping my already warping sense of humor.

Now that that window had been opened my ears picked out any novelty song and my mind devoured it!

Today's entry also was heard by me in 1981.

A hit all over the world and number one in multiple countries, "Shaddap you face" only reached #53 onthe Billboard Hot 100 for Joe Dolce and was his only foray into the Hot 100 in the US.

As a side note I always loved the "B" side of the 45 also.
