Top 10: 1974 #10 and #9!
This week, the week of May 30-June 3, 2016, we'll look at the top 10 hits of 1974!
We call it: "1974!"
May 30, 2016
Starting with #10:
Mac Davis' "One Hell of a Woman" only reached #11 during its run on the Billboard charts in 1974, but it stayed on the carts longer than his other top 20 hit "Baby Don't get Hooked on Me" which reached #1.
Oddly this song did NOT chart on the Country charts for Davis.
The #9 song went all the way to #1 in April of 1974.
"Bennie and the Jets" was Elton John's second #1 song int he US and remained on the charts for 18 weeks.
